The Millington JV football team scored 38 first-half points and forced three turnovers in a 44-12 victory over Caro on Thursday evening. Lucas Fluty scored on a 2-yard run with 4:06 remaining in the first quarter and added the two-point conversion. The Cardinals regained possession when Montle recovered a Caro fumble. Fluty scored again on a 6-yard run with 2:28 left in the quarter. Easton Myers ran in the conversion to give Millington a 16-0 lead. Caro scored early in the second quarter, but Millington answered with 22 consecutive points. Fluty completed his three-touchdown night with a 31-yard run, followed by Ste[hen Montle’s conversion run. Kash Campbell intercepted a Caro pass before Jace Terwilliger scored on 24- and 23-yard runs. Nitz added a two-point conversion following Terwilliger’s second touchdown, sending the Cardinals into halftime with a 38-6 lead. Caro scored again in the third quarter before Malakai Curtis-Dunkerson connected with Levi Bobrowski for a 63-yard touchdown, completing Millington’s scoring. Elijah Boedecker recovered a Caro fumble in the fourth quarter as the Cardinals closed out their 23rd consecutive victory. Millington improved to 4-0 and will host Cass City at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, September 24.
